Yerbolat Zholat

By the decision of the Sole Shareholder on the 4th of December 2023 Yerbolat Zholat was appointed as the Chairperson of the Management Board and a member of the Board of Directors of Qazaqstan Investment Corporation JSC.

He was born on July 30, 1981.

He has extensive experience in finance in the private and quasi-public sectors.

At various times he has held various positions, including management positions, in the corporate sector in groups of such companies as Halyk Bank of Kazakhstan JSC, National Company Kazakhstan Temir Zholy JSC, and Baiterek National Managing Holding JSC.

Since 2020, he started working in Qazaqstan Investment Corporation JSC (subsidiary organization of Baiterek Holding) as Managing Director, and then held the position of the Deputy Chairman of the Management Board until his appointment as the Chairman of the Management Board in 2023.

From 2021 to 2022, he was a member of the Board of Directors of QazTech Ventures and Kazakhstan Project Preparation Fund joint stock companies, and then in 2022 he was Chairman of the Board of Directors of Kazakhstan Project Preparation Fund joint stock company.

He graduated from the Executive MBA program of the Graduate School of Management of St. Petersburg State University (one of the top 1% of business schools in the world with “triple crown” accreditations) with the qualification of Master of Business Administration, and Executive Master in Public Management (EMPM) “Master of Public Administration - for Managers” of the Higher School of Public Administration of the Russian Academy of National Economy and Public Administration under the President of the Russian Federation with the qualification of Executive Master in Public Management (Master of Public Administration - for Managers), he also has a law degree and qualification of Bachelor of Economics and Business.   

Currently, he does not have a joint appointment.

He is not a member of the Board of Directors of other organizations.

He has no shares of shares owned by affiliated organizations.

Citizenship – the Republic of Kazakhstan.​
